Accelerating Action Through Public-Private Partnerships
Hosted by Group on Earth Observations (GEO), organised by ZASPACE, and sponsored by Trimble and Esri, this November the Virtual Industry Track at GEO Week returns, focusing on boosting public-private partnerships with a view to encouraging national Earth observation initiatives through the multidisciplinary activities of the GEO Work Programme.
Industry-renowned speakers will share their insights through curated panels, stakeholders will have multiple opportunities to network and explore partnerships, and 16 SMMEs will have the chance to present their Earth observations endeavours to attendees.
Speakers From All Corners
The 2020 event was a great success, with 436 registrations from 40 countries worldwide. The high calibre of international speakers was no doubt a formidable contributor to last year’s success, and this year’s quality of speakers will be no different.
The line-up of the 2021 Virtual Industry Track speakers includes the Director of the GEO Secretariat, Yana Gevorgyan; Esri Principal Product Engineer, Keith VanGraafieland; CEO and Founder of AgriSpace Africa, Ruvimbo Samanga, and more.
The Virtual Industry Track at GEO Week 2021 will focus on presenting the multidisciplinary activities of the GEO Work Programme with a priority to boost public-private partnerships which support national Earth observation initiatives.
In 2020 the Virtual Industry Track was a huge success and we are pleased to announce that it will take place again at GEO Week 2021. A global committee has been assembled with dedicated professionals working to connect the Earth observation industry with GEO Associates and the GEO Work Programme.
This year we are offering 16 small, medium and micro-sized enterprises (SMMEs) an opportunity to profile their work in Earth observations and interact with a panel of senior GEO Associates who will be there to help guide your business initiatives.
Submissions to present in one of the Company Profile slots is open to all SMMEs across the globe. This will be a virtual presentation illustrating how your business supports or complements the GEO Work Programme. This will be followed by a GEO Work Programme and GEO Associates feedback panel which will provide insights into how you can improve your engagements with the GEO community.
