About meetings and events
The Group on Earth Observations organizes a variety of meetings every year for advancing the construction of GEOSS and its use for decision-making. Workshops and Symposia are designed to engage user groups, regional communities, and experts in particular fields in GEO activities. These events tend to be open to a broad range of participants, including people who are new to GEO.
In addition, GEO relies on Summits, plenary sessions, and meetings of its Executive Committee and technical Committees for overseeing the GEO work plan. Participation in these meetings tends to be limited to GEO Members, Participating Organizations and observers.
